St George Illawarra have named a young squad for the Auckland Nines next weekend.
Representative back-rower Tyson Frizell will captain the side with first grade stars Euan Aitken, Joel Thompson and Tariq Sims joining Frizell in the squad.
Dragons’ fans will also get their first look at new signings Nene Macdonald, Cameron McInnes and Shaun Nona.
Big names Paul Vaughan, Josh Dugan, Gareth Widdop and Jason Nightingale have been left out of the squad.
Youngsters Nona and Jai Field will get the first chance to impress in the halves following good seasons in the Intrust Super Premiership and Holden Cup respectively.
Fellow NRL hopefuls Levi Dodd, Patrick Herbert and Penshurst RSL junior Matt Dufty are also in the squad, as is Hurstville United junior Luciano Leilua.
Renown United junior Jacob Host has been left at home.
