Queensland Police say a pilot in his 60s has died after his plane hit powerlines in Bowenville.
A man has died after his light plane crashed into powerlines in rural southern Queensland.
Police say the aircraft hit the wires on Malu Road in Bowenville, northwest of Toowoomba about 2.20pm on Sunday.
The pilot, a man in his 60s, died at the scene.
The Queensland Police forensic crash unit will work with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Australian Transport Safety Bureau and Recreational Aviation Australia to prepare a report for the coroner.
