"My family and friends are all going to be part of this day and we are looking forward to having them all be present on the day," she said.
"My first experience of State of Origin in 2020 was such an amazing and unforgettable experience. Getting to play alongside a group of talented women at such a young age and early on in my rugby league career was beyond what I expected and I am grateful for the opportunity.
"Due to unfortunate circumstance that we were in at the time of COVID my family was not able to travel to watch me play one of the biggest games of my life which was tough but knowing that they were proud of me was what drove me to be the best I can be."
This year's origin game will be Mounties Captain Simaima Taufa's eighth game for NSW. She has been part of four women's Interstate Challenges and four State of Origin clashes.
"Representing your state whether it is your first, second or eighth appearances is always surreal," she said.
"I still get the same feelings of anxiousness, nerves and butterflies when I am waiting by the phone to receive a call or text to see if I have made the team.
"So to receive the phone call to say that I will be part of the team this year was unreal and I was really happy about; happy more so for my family and my support network that has helped shape me to the person that I am today and to help me get to where I want to be which is to represent my state."
Mounties currently sit second in the Women's Premiership.
