A 65-year-old woman missing from Sydney's south-west has been located safe and well.
Officers from Liverpool Police Area Command were notified of the woman's disappearance after she failed to return home from a planned shopping trip to Moorebank about 8am yesterday.
Following inquiries, she was found at a shopping complex at Liverpool around 10am today.
Police thank the community for their assistance.
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman last seen in Moorebank.
Poliana Samonata, aged 65, left her home in Moorebank about 8am on Thursday, June 10, telling family members she was going shopping at the nearby Moorebank Shopping Centre.
This shopping trip to Moorebank was a regular occurrence for Poliana, and is only a 7-10 minute walk away from her home.
When she failed to return home or make contact with family members, her disappearance was reported to officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command, who commenced an investigation.
Poliana is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, 160cm tall, larged build and dark complexion, with long dark hair. She was wearing a long blue and black woollen coat and carry a small light brown shoulder bag. She walks with the aid of a walking stick.
Her disappearance is considered out of character, and both family and police hold concerns for her welfare.
