He's been selling cars and making clients happy for five decades - but Joe Pomiecko wasn't about to slack off on his last day.
The Clintons Toyota business development manager finished up his 28-year career with the local dealership - and 50-year career with Toyota in Sydney - on Friday, and still managed to sell three cars.
Mr Pomiecko was presented with a 50-year plaque at a special surprise celebration for his retirement on Thursday.
"A representative from Toyota Australia presented me with the plaque," Mr Pomiecko said. "He said he'd never seen one before and he'd probably never see one again. Being in high-pressure sales role and retaining a management position and sales position for that period of time is not really heard of."
Mr Pomiecko started his career at Peter Williamson Toyota in Liverpool in 1971 and was hugely proud when the dealership consistently ranked as one of the most successful in the country.
Since moving to the Clintons Toyota in Campbelltown almost 30 years ago, Mr Pomiecko has continued to love his work and proudly "fly the flag" for his company, representing them at the Campbelltown and Narellan chambers of commerce. He is also a member of Narellan Rotary.
The Harrington Park resident is building a home in the Southern Highlands to be closer to his children and hopes to find a "small part-time job to keep my brain active" in the meantime.
He said he loved working with the "brilliant" Clintons team and looked forward to travelling in retirement.
