NSW Governor Margaret Beazley visits Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School

Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School principal Brother Nicholas Harsas said Thursday's visit to the school by NSW Governor Margaret Beazley and her husband Denis Wilson will be "long remembered" by the students and staff.

The Governor spoke with students and staff throughout the morning and ended with morning tea with the staff. Ms Beazley addressed the whole school at an assembly covering a range of topics including the national anthem, remote learning and Australia as a multicultural community.

The Governor even managed to practise some martial arts with Dante from Year 2 and she was informed by Mila from Kindergarten, who has only been at school for ten days, that Holy Spirit School is a wonderful school because everyone is respectful.

School captains, Mia and Matthew, welcomed the Governor while vice-captains, Emilia and Isaac, presented gifts to the visiting pair who held a question and answer session with Year 6 students.

"The Governor could not speak more highly of the Holy Spirit School community. The vice- regal visit will be long remembered by the students and staff," principal Brother Harsas said.
