Hammondville aged care residents and their families can still enjoy the Christmas lights and decorations this year without leaving their homes.

With many residents a bit reluctant to tour around to see the streets lit up due to COVID-19 risks, HammondCare made the decision to bring the Christmas lights to them

All HammondCare's residential care services will be judged to determine which site displayed the best creativity with designs.

The garden pathway area between Harding and Bond Houses has become a solar-powered twinkling wonderland at dusk with a light display created by HammondCare Senior Maintenance Manager Ravi Chand. The Norfolk and Briar cottages have also been decorated inside and out.

"After what has been a difficult time for everyone in aged care, we want to make sure that this Christmas is one where all our residents and loved ones can relax and enjoy the festive season," HammondCare chief executive Mike Baird said.
