Moorebank Sports Club plans to reopen at noon on Tuesday after closing at 3.30pm today for thorough cleaning after being visited by a person who tested positive to COVID-19 recently.
The case dined at Sporties at Hammondville on the evening of Monday, September 14.
Anyone who attended the club at this time should monitor for symptoms, and if they appear, get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.
NSW Health is working with the venue to identify people who attended the club at this time, and will contact patrons to identify close contacts.
Anyone identified as a close contact should immediately self-isolate, get tested and remain isolated for 14 days even if a negative result is received.
"As a COVIDSafe venue, Sporties has a full record of all patrons who were on the premises at the time of the visit and have passed these details onto NSW Health to contact," the club posted on Facebook noting they have a "detailed and thorough" COVIDSafe operating plan.
"In addition, we have also contacted all staff who were at work during this time. As always, the safety of our customers and staff is our number one priority and we will continue to follow all directions provided by NSW Health.
"Sporties has managed a very conservative reopening strategy since June 1 which has seen the club operate with a maximum capacity of 300 people at any one time for social distancing."
