Bonnyrigg Heights Public School pupils will undertake at home learning on Monday, August 10 after a student tested positive for COVID-19.
The school will be non-operational for on-site learning on Monday and NSW Health has requested anyone who has been unwell or has flu-like symptoms to be tested at one of the COVID-19 clinics.
NSW Health said the student attended school while infectious on August 4,5 and 6. The school is closed for deep cleaning and contact tracing is underway.
"The school will be non-operational tomorrow for the on-site attendance of staff and students to allow time for the school to complete the contact tracing process and have the school cleaned," a statement on the school's website said.
"All staff and students are asked to self-isolate while contact tracing occurs.
"The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to."
Further advice will be provided tomorrow advising when the school will resume on-site learning.
