Members of the Australian Relief Organisation (ARO) and the Sule-Amity Alumni Association (SAGA) wanted to show their appreciation for staff at hospitals and schools who are putting themselves at risk on the frontline of the COVID-19 health crisis.
They put their heads together and thought food.
So on Tuesday, May 19, the ARO in partnership with SAGA donated ready meal packs to the staff of both Braeside Hospital and Hammondville Public School. T
A spokesperson for the ARO said the staff of both the hospital and the public school had been the frontline heroes in our modern pandemic situation.
"The staff at hospitals and schools are supporting the community to come through these difficult times in the best possible way," the spokesperson said.
"We, as the ARO and SAGA organisations wanted to show our appreciation to our local heroes with humble, ready meal packs, desserts and flowers."
Both the organisations also had a similar donation completed the previous week on Thursday to Westmead Children's Hospital.
