Liverpool Boys HS win Schools Cup

Liverpool Boys High School were recently crowned the Wanderers Schools Cup champions at Blacktown Football Park.

The team won the year 7/8 division of the tournament which aims to encourage football participation and physical activity in a safe environment.

The boys qualified for the final in comfortable fashion winning three and drawing one match against Blaxland High School who they defeated 4-1 in the final.

This year's Schools Cup saw a record amount of teams and more than 4000 players compete in primary and secondary competitions.

The team, who are coached by Talented Football Program director and Australian Schoolboys coach Pat Marando, were presented their trophy on Monday by inaugural Western Sydney Wanderers captain Michael Beauchamp and current Wanderers midfielder Kosta Grozos.
