POLICE | Men armed with machetes rob Moorebank fast-food restaurant

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a restaurant at Moorebank overnight.

About 11.45pm last night, Tuesday, November 5, two men armed with machetes entered the Newbridge Road store and approached the counter.

The men demanded money while threatening staff.

An amount of cash was handed over and the pair ran from the store.

No customers were inside the store at the time and no one was hurt.

Liverpool police officers were called and an investigation begun.

A crime scene was established and inquiries are continuing by Liverpool detectives.
