Fairfield Liverpool are still searching for their first win of the NSW Premier Cricket season after a nine-wicket loss to Northern District on Saturday at Rosedale Oval.

Starting the day at 9-134, the Lions were eventually bowled out for 143. The visitors made short work of the chase reaching the target for the loss of only one wicket with John Anderson (77 not out) and David Lowery (61 not out) combining for an unbroken 129-run partnership. Daniel Miles (1-22) picked up the only wicket.

The Lions' Twenty20 Cup campaign has also started on the wrong foot on Sunday with a 52-run loss to Campbelltown-Camden after failing to chase 126.

Meanwhile, Blacktown Mounties are also 0-2 to start the season after being bowled out for 94 in reply to Western Suburbs' total of 6-297. The visitors fared better in the second innings reaching 5-136 with skipper Jordan Gauci reaching 65 not out. Both clubs recorded wins in the opening round of the Poidevin-Gray Shield on Sunday.
