POLICE | Man, 84, hit while crossing road on his mobility scooter at Green Valley

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition after a crash at GreenValley on Thursday morning.

About 7.30am on Thursday, August 8, emergency services were called to the intersection of Wilson Road and North Liverpool Road after reports a car had hit a man, 84, on a mobility scooter.

A Toyota Corolla, driven by a woman, 70, is believed to have been exiting a roundabout when it hit the man as he crossed the road on his mobility scooter.

Ambulance paramedics attended and stabilised the man at the scene. He was taken to Liverpool hospital in a serious condition.

Traffic diversions were in place and motorists were advised to avoid the area

A crime scene was established and investigations into the collision continue.

Police urge any witnesses to this incident, or drivers who may have dashcam footage, to come forward.
