We know that readers to our news websites often use Facebook to discover the headlines that are important in their lives.
So we've pulled together this handy guide to help you see our stories first in your Facebook newsfeed.
You may have noticed that even though you follow our website on Facebook you sometimes miss out on the content we post.
Facebook prioritises what you see in your newsfeed based on the pages you follow, what you have last engaged with and the types of content Facebook thinks you want to see.
The social network made a change to its algorithm last year which made it harder for readers to get local news from the newspaper they trust.
There is a way to make sure you see the local news that matters to you as soon as it is published on Facebook.
When you are using your mobile phone and are on our Facebook page, select the 'See First' option from the 'Following' menu you can see at the top of the page.
Alternatively, if you're on desktop, you can use the flyout menu when you hover over a page's title to find the 'Following' menu and select 'See First' from there.
By selecting 'See First', you are telling Facebook that local news is meaningful to you, and you'll never miss an update from us.
As your local publisher we work hard to bring you content that affects your community and we want you to be able to see those stories as they are published.
You can also help us by sharing our stories on Facebook with your friends and families when you think they will have an impact.
