Archers on target at championships

Liverpool City Archers member Scott Carter used local knowledge to his advantage to win the Master Male Barebow Recurve category at the 2019 National Indoor and Archery NSW Championships at the Whitlam Centre at the weekend.

His total score of 985 saw him easily win the NSW title by more than 100 points and was good enough to be crowned national champion by 40 points with every other state across Australia shooting at the same time, in different locations.

In total, NSW won 20 first place national medals and the NSW State recurve team of Michael Lavern, Alex King, Tayla King and Victor Wei were also crowned national champions.

The state's national winner's were: Josie Hatch, Ammrutha Vashetharan, Kevin Curran, Norman Sim, Kuytim Alikay, Rebecca Woods, Imalia Oktrininda, Ameera Christina Lee, Eddie Upston, Darren Candra , Alyssa Mollema , Adam Leung, Kathryn Kiefhaber, Madeline Boyle, Penny O'Doherty, Michael Lavern, Michael Fisher, Mark Berry and Marilyn Clerke.
