POLICE | Boy, 14, hit by car on Elizabeth Drive

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam video after a young pedestrian was hit by a car at Liverpool today.

About 4.30pm, emergency services were called to Elizabeth Drive, where a teenaged boy, 14, was hit by a car while he was crossing the road.

The boy got significant head injuries and was taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

The driver of the vehicle is helping police with their inquiries and he's currently attending hospital for mandatory testing.

Liverpool police officers attended the accident and established a crime scene.

If anyone witnessed the incident or has dashcam video that can help with the investigation, they're urged to come forward.

Local traffic diversions are currently in place.
