POLICE | Moorebank chemist robbed at knifepoint last night


Liverpool police officers are investigating an armed robbery at a Moorebank chemist last night.

About 8.15pm on Thursday, July 18, two men in balaclavas entered a shop on Stockton Avenue and threatened two staff and a customer with knives and demanded prescription medication.

They ran away with the medication and were last seen heading north along Maddecks Avenue.

Both men are described as being of slim to medium build and about 175 centimetres tall.

They were last seen wearing black balaclavas, grey gloves, red and navy hoodies, with dark pants -- one in white shoes, one in grey shoes.

One man carried a black bag with a shoulder strap and grey handles.

No injuries were reported from the incident.

Liverpool police officers established a crime scene which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives began an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information that may help with their inquiries to come forward.
