POLICE | Learner rider, 17, in Liverpool hospital after crashing his bike at midnight

A teenaged learner rider was taken to Liverpool hospital after crashing his motorbike at GeorgesHall overnight.

The boy, 17, was riding his motorcycle east on Marion Street shortly after midnight when he struck a traffic island and crashed.

He suffered serious injuries but they're not considered life-threatening.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Bankstown police officers attended the scene and began inquiries.
