NSW Trustee & Guardian is a government agency that protects, promotes and supports the rights, dignity, choices and wishes of the people of NSW.
They help people plan ahead for some of their most critical life decisions through making a Will, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship documents and can also act as an independent executor or be appointed to manage a person's financial and legal affairs.
Parramatta branch manager Tanya Giffen said the agency could trace its origins back to 1914 when they started writing Wills for soldiers to ensure their wishes were recorded if they didn't make it home.
"NSW Trustee & Guardian have been helping the people of NSW plan ahead for more than 100 years," Ms Giffen said.
"In our long history, we have written over one million Wills and continue to write over 13,000 planning ahead documents each year.
"That means we have the experience and we've seen it all. People come to us for our trusted, independent and convenient advice."

So why choose NSW Trustee & Guardian over a private solicitor?
"We are a perpetual government organisation so we will always be around to ensure your instructions are properly carried out," Ms Giffen said.
"We are also experts in estate management and have staff specialising in estates, trusts, legal, financial and accounting services alongside our very own in-house genealogy team.
"This places us in the unique position to manage complex estates, so no Will is ever too big or too small for us to handle."
The agency charges $330 to prepare a Will and $220 for a Power of Attorney. An Enduring Guardianship is prepared free of charge.
All three documents can be prepared together at a discounted cost of $440.
In addition, Will preparation services are provided free for people eligible for a full Centrelink Age Pension, including those receiving other government benefits.
And there's no need to be concerned about the privacy of your personal information as NSW Trustee & Guardian is bound by the Privacy & Personal Information Act 1998.
