POLICE | Woman in Liverpool hospital after being hit by car at Revesby

A woman, 65, was taken to Liverpool hospital last night after being seriously injured when hit by a car at Revesby.

About 7.30pm, she was walking along the River Road and when crossing Spence Street was hit by a Nissan X-Trail turning from The River Road.

The male driver of the Nissan stopped after the crash.

The woman was treated on site by ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool hospital for treatment for suspected head injuries and leg fractures.

The Nissan driver spoke with police at the scene before being taken to Bankstown hospital for further medical tests.

Officers from the crash-investigation unit are continuing inquiries into the events leading up to the crash.
