Yesterday, a serving police officer was charged over an alleged assault of a youth earlier this year.

The incident occurred at WarwickFarm on January 4, when a teenaged boy, 16, was allegedly assaulted while he was being held in custody.

A police spokesperson said the teenager had been "acting suspiciously" but did not elaborate on the circumstances of the alleged assault.
