The property market is rapidly changing with more interest-rate cuts, bank regulator APRA's proposed plans to relax lending restrictions, property-price reductions and investors leaving the market.
First-home buyers are capitalising on these fluctuating market conditions in fast-growing masterplanned communities in the South-West such as New Breeze at Bardia.
Suniel Ghimire and Ruby KC, both 30, secured a 250-square-metre block at New Breeze. Suniel said: "As first-home buyers, Ruby and I had been working very hard for several years to save. Campbelltown is in the middle of the South-West Growth Corridor. Its population is forecast to grow from 158,941 to about 300,000 by 2036.
This would position Campbelltown, encompassing Bardia, at the forefront of Sydney's metropolitan development.
New Breeze spans 89 hectares and will comprise about 1264 homes when completed next year. The development will include large high-quality parks and playgrounds, a sports oval, bike and cycle paths and 40 hectares of open spaces for recreation. Land sizes start at 227 square metres and are priced from $319,900.
New Breeze is 8 kilometres from Liverpool's CBD and about 45 minutes from Sydney's CBD. It's at the gateway to the expanding Sydney South-West Growth Centre and provides easy access to Western Sydney Airport at Badgerys Creek.
