A Liverpool woman in her 30s jumped for joy this morning after discovering she was suddenly $200,000 richer after winning first prize in yesterday's Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

She won the guaranteed first prize of $200,000 in jackpot draw 1340, drawn yesterday, Thursday.

She said she hadn't had a chance to let the news sink in but she planned to celebrate with her close family tonight.

The happy woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought her entry of two random numbers online at

Speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this morning, she said she didn't know whether to laugh or cry upon discovering the life-changing news.

"Oh, my God! I can't believe it! I was jumping up and down and crying when I saw online that I'd won," she said. "I couldn't stop laughing and crying at the same time. I can't describe the feeling to you. It's like nothing I've ever experienced. I couldn't believe it.

"I've been playing every draw for about a year. I even bought a ticket for the next one. I'll definitely keep playing. I'm so happy with $200,000 but with $70 million on offer I'll definitely keep playing.

"I love playing Lucky Lotteries because it's so easy to play and there are lots of prizes. I'm happy to win anything! I've won a few small prizes in the past but nothing like this. It's amazing and just unbelievable!"

When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, she said she was still in too much shock to think clearly. "I haven't really had a chance to think that far ahead yet!" she said. "I've still got too many mixed emotions about it. Is it happening? Is it real? I just can't think about it yet.

"It's just unbelievable! I always read of other people winning and I can't believe it's me. I'm just so happy. Winning the money is great but it's actually just pretty special to be that one person who's won."

She said there would be some celebrations ahead now the news had officially been confirmed. "I haven't told anyone yet because I wanted to make sure it was real and I've been trying to stay calm. I can't wait to tell my family. I'll definitely celebrate with my close family tonight."
