Traffic on Brisbane's Gateway Motorway crawled after a family of ducks waddled across the highway.
A family of ducks waddling across a six-lane highway just after the quack of dawn brought one of Queensland's busiest roads to a crawl on Wednesday.
The adventurous feathered family was escorted by police and traffic management as they crossed Brisbane's busy Gateway Motorway which carries an average 116,000 vehicles a day.
One tiny straggler was gently herded to rejoin the group before the ducks made it safely off the bridge and were taken away by animal control for a quick check over.
