Police are seeking information from the community after three firearms were stolen from a rural property at Rossmore yesterday.

Earlier yesterday, April 17, Camden police officers were called to the property on McCann Road following reports of a break-in.

Police were told the owner had been away from the home since last Friday and returned just after noon yesterday to find the home ransacked.

The firearms safe and ammunition safe had been forced open and a .22 calibre rifle, a .303 calibre rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and ammunition had been taken.

A crime scene was established at the home and it was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Local detectives began an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information that may help with their inquiries to come forward.
