POLICE | Alleged attempted robbery by teen group at Casula store leaves woman with fractured pelvis

Detectives have asked for the public's help after a woman was knocked over by a teenaged boy following a distraction-style alleged robbery of a phone store at Casula last Friday, April 12.

Just after 3pm, a group of teenagers entered the store and were looking at phones and watches on display.

A short time later, staff asked them to leave after members of the group began pulling on items which were attached to the display table by a security cable.

The group initially ignored the direction but were eventually ushered from the store.

Police were told one teenaged boy took a watch and another teenaged boy tried to take a phone but dropped it as he left.

Security vision depicts the second teenager knocking over a woman, 81, as he runs from the centre.

The woman was treated by ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital, where she remains undergoing treatment for a fractured pelvis.

Liverpool police officers went to the store and began an investigation.

As their inquiries continue, detectives have released security video of a group of people whom they believe may be able to help with inquiries.
