POLICE | Vacant Liverpool home destroyed in suspicious fire

Liverpool police are investigating the cause of a fire at a vacant home overnight.

About 8.30pm last night, Wednesday, emergency services were called to the corner of Goulburn and Lachlan streets at Liverpool after reports of a home being well alight.

Officers established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances of the fire.

Firefighters attended and extinguished the blaze but the home was totally destroyed.

No one was injured. The home is currently unoccupied.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but initial inquiries have led police to believe it is suspicious.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is urged to come forward.
