POLICE | Moorebank man and friend charged over 2018 Parramatta assault when friend arrested for another assault

A Georges  Hall man, 21, was charged over an assault at Manly early Sunday morning and an unrelated assault at Parramatta last year and a second man, 22, of Moorebank, faced court yesterday charged over the Parramatta assault.

About 2.30am on Sunday, police went to a licensed premises on The Corso at Manly, after a man allegedly assaulted two men, 22 and 24, inside and was restrained by security officers.

Northern  Beaches police arrested the Georges Hall man. He was taken to Manly police station and charged with two counts of assault causing physical harm and giving a false name to police.

It’s alleged he was also involved in the assault of a man, 26, at a licensed premises on George Street at Parramatta on September 29 last year. He was also charged with assault causing physical harm and was given conditional bail to be in Manly court on April 10.

The second man, who was known to him, was arrested while waiting at Manly police station. It’s alleged he was also involved in last year's Parramatta assault and he was charged with assault causing physical harm.

He was in Parramatta bail court yesterday and was given conditional bail to return to the same court on Tuesday, March 19.
