After losing their first six games, Fairfield Liverpool still have a chance to finish in the top half of the NSW Premier Cricket ladder after a clinical win against Gordon on Saturday.
Param Uppal (140) picked up where he left off last week guiding the Lions to a total of 299. His 422-minute knock included eight boundaries and a six. Charlie Stobo was the star with the ball taking 8-63. The bowlers completed a memorable final home game for the Lions dismissing the visitors for 163.
Liam Hatcher, who recently took 7-43 in the Futures League, continued his strong form with the ball taking 5-63. He was well supported by Chad Sammut (2-31) and Uppal who completed his man of the match performance with the tidy figures of 2-16 with his off-spin.
The Lions finish their season with a limited overs fixture against Hawkesbury. A win would see them finish with six wins from their final nine games and finish on 40 points.
In the last two years they have combined for 42 points.
