Two people have been charged over the alleged murder of a man at Sadlier at the weekend.

About 3.20pm on Saturday, police were called to a home on Eureka Crescent after the body of an unidentified man was found inside.

He is believed to be a Minto man, 40.

A crime scene was established and several items seized and taken for forensic examination.

Strike Force Higherdale, comprising Liverpool detectives and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, has been formed to investigate the death.

Following inquiries, just before 2am yesterday, a man, 38, and a woman, 39 – believed to be known to the man – were arrested at a home unit on Hume Highway at WarwickFarm.

Early this morning, the Sadlier man was charged with murder and the Warwick Farm woman charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

They were both refused bail to be in Liverpool court later today.

Inquiries continue.
