DRIVER IN LIVERPOOL HOSPITAL | Man flips his car and lands in the back of a truck

A driver was taken to Liverpool hospital yesterday afternoon after flipping his car and landing in the back of a tip-truck at MacquarieFields.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Evelyn Street about 3pm yesterday.

A NSW Police spokesperson said the man, 38, driving a Holden Astra, hit a trailer ramp which caused the vehicle to flip and land in the back of a nearby parked truck.

No one was in the truck at the time.

The Astra driver was trapped for a short time as emergency service crews worked to free him.

He was assessed by paramedics before being taken to Liverpool hospital with a shoulder injury.

The man was the sole occupant of the Astra.

NSW police said it was unclear if speed was a factor in the incident.
