Mounties Hockey Club celebrated their 21st season in style with arguably their most successful campaign in history. Of the 14 teams that took the field, seven made the finals series, four made the grand finals and three were crowned premiers.
Team success led to individual honours with Jade Callander (junior sportsperson of the year) and Aden Smith (senior sportsperson of the year) winning the major awards at Mounties recent sub-club awards.
Callander was named player of the tournament as a member of the the NSW under-18 gold medal winning team at the nationals. She was also a member of the NSW under-18 indoor team and under-21 outdoor teams.
Smith was a member of the NSW under-18 (indoor and outdoor) and under-21s teams and part of the Australian Futures squad.
The pair were part of a host of regional, state and national representatives from the club produce in 2018.
In January the club will have seven players represent NSW (and one ACT) at the indoor nationals at Goulburn :
