‘Are you serious?’ | Cabramatta man wins $200,000 jackpot

A Cabramatta man said he was going to buy his daughter a car after discovering he won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The regular player won the guaranteed first prize of $200,000 and also the consolation prize of $1000 to take his total prize to $201,000.

“Are you serious?,” he said when the news was broken to him by a NSW Lotteries official.

“That’s amazing, thank you very much! I can’t believe it.

“I’m going to buy my daughter a brand new car.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry from Mitchum News (Shop 27, Dutton Lane Shopping Point Centre, Cabramatta).

Owner Anne Huang said they have had the store for more than 10 years and it was the first time they have sold a first  prize winning entry.

“It’s about time,” she laughed. “We can’t wait to celebrate and spread the news.”
