Liverpool police have confirmed an unfortunate incident which occurred last night which resulted in a man’s death after he fell from the fourth storey of a unit block at 4.45pm yesterday, November 6.
Police and other emergency services were called to the scene at the corner of Lachlan Street and George Street at Liverpool.
It’s thought the man, 29, fell off the balcony but police are investigating whether the cause of the incident was self-harm-related or loss of balance.
The man’s family are aware of the man’s death.
Liverpool police crime manager DeanJohnstone said it was a sad day and confirmed the man’s death wasn’t suspicious.
“If people are suffering from mental illness they should seek support services. There are a number of services available to help,” he said.
Currently it’s unknown whether the man suffered from or had been diagnosed with mental-health problems.
Investigations continue and police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
