Rebels OMCG member charged after loaded weapons seized

A member of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) will face court today after Strike Force Raptor seized a loaded firearm and weapons from a home in Middleton Grange home.

Just before 9am last Thursday, November 1, Criminal Group Squad’s Strike Force Raptor detectives conducted a Firearms Prohibition Order search at a home in Horace Street, Middleton Grange.

Investigators seized several items including a loaded revolver, a torch manufactured into a firearm, a replica pistol, more than $44,000 cash, steroids, a flick knife, a crossbow, hunting knives, Western Australian number plates and gold bars.

Following inquiries a man, 43, was arrested at Liverpool Police Station today on Monday, November 5.

He was charged with 25 offences including 18 firearms and weapons offences, knowingly possess identity plate not on correct vehicle, unlawfully possess number plates, three counts of possess prohibited drugs, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) and breach of bail.

The man was refused bail and will appear at Liverpool Local Court today.

Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009 and conducts proactive investigations and intelligence-based, high-impact policing operations to prevent and disrupt conflicts, and dismantle any network engaged in serious organised criminal activity.
