A Liverpool woman is planning a new kitchen and a trip to Hawaii after she became a division one winner from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The winner held one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 3891 on Saturday, November 3. Each entry takes home the division one prize of $441,295.45.
The woman said she also couldn’t wait to pay off her home loan with her prize.
“When you’re mortgage free, you’re a free person,” she said.
The south-west Sydney resident, who requested to remain anonymous, purchased her 18-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com, Australia’s official lotteries.
When a NSW Lotteries official confirmed her win this morning she responded with: “Now it’s actually real. I checked my entry on Saturday night online. I saw the winning numbers and I said to my husband ‘I think we won division one’. He said ‘Yes, you did!’.
“I couldn’t sleep Saturday night or last night. I was too shocked.”
The regular Lotto player shared she had been marking her online entries using her favourite numbers for many years.
“I’ve never changed them. My husband said never change them as one day they will come up, and now they have,” she laughed.
Amid the sleepless nights since her division one win, the woman has already started planning how she’ll use her Lotto windfall.
“We’ve started a renovation to update the house, including a new kitchen. We topped up the mortgage to do this, but now the renovation and the mortgage will be paid off.
“It’s an amazing feeling. And after Christmas, we’re off to Hawaii! I’ve always wanted to go so I’m going to book it.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3891 on Saturday were 14, 5, 36, 12, 3 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 42.
Across Australia there were nine division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3891 – three from Victoria, two each from Queensland and New South Wales, and one each from the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 137 so far this financial year, including 45 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
