It's not the first time 98-year-old Daphne Dunne has waited at Sydney's Opera House for a glimpse of Prince Harry.
But this year Daphne, who had met Harry twice before, had her eye on his stunning wife, promptly asking if he could introduce her to him.
"Oh my goodness, is this Daphne?" Meghan asked.
The newly announced mum-to-be bent bent down and clasped hands, speaking with her at length.
"She said she had heard all about me, she's so beautiful," Daphne told AAP.
Patting Harry's face affectionately she congratulated the couple on their exciting news.
"I wished them well with the baby on the way and said this is what Harry has been waiting for for so long.
"I got a cuddle too."
In 2015 Harry spotted the 95-year-old war widow wearing a Victoria Cross while she waited at the Opera House.
"He got close to me and he said 'I know what that is'," the 95-year-old told AAP.
"And I said, 'Well you should'".
Then again last year when she weathered torrential rain to greet the prince who was in town to cast his eye over Invictus Games preparations.
Spotting her soaked in her wheelchair he exclaimed, "oh, it's you!" before adjusting her umbrella and blanket around her.
