BREAKING NEWS | Teacher charged over alleged sexual assault

A teacher will face court after the alleged sexual assault of a student under his care.

Police will allege in court the man sexually assaulted a girl while in the classroom of a high school in Sydney’s inner-west.

On Monday, October 8, the girl reported the incident to her parents, who contacted police.

About 10.30pm yesterday on Wednesday October 10, Auburn detectives attended a home at Leppington where they arrested a man, 50.

He was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with sexual intercourse with a person under care, 16.

The man appeared at Campbelltown Local Court today on Thursday October 11, where he was granted strict conditional bail, to re-appear at Burwood Local Court on Wednesday December 5.
