Sydney Western City Planning Panel has green-lit a town square with eat street and mix of shops, health and medical businesses and entertainment as stage 1 of EdmondsonPark town centre. Liverpool mayor WendyWaller said: “We just rezoned Liverpool’s city centre, cementing its future as Sydney’s third CBD.”

Work can now start on part of the town centre at Edmondson Park South.

The mixed-use development will include 423 units above a range of shops and cinema, spread across six buildings ranging from six to 14 storeys high. It includes 1500 parking spaces. “The State Government will investigate more station parking. At least in the town centre there’ll be parking for those who live and shop there.”
