Jarred McKinley dreams of one day wearing the famed red of his favourite English Premier League team Manchester United.
For now the Cecil Hill High School student is happy wearing the sky blue of NSW
The 15-year-old has been selected for the NSW under-16s Combined High Schools team for the NSW All Schools Tournament to be held at Valentine Sports Park on June 25 and 26.
“It was exciting to be selected. I didn’t expect it,” he said. More representatives honours could be on the way for the centre midfielder who has been selected in the opens Sydney South West team next month.
In the meantime he will apply his trade at club land with the Bonnyrigg White Eagles under-16s and 18s teams.
After starting football when he was six, Jarred has played for Kemps Creek, Southern Districts and Nepean.
The CHS 1s team is dominated by Fairfield students with seven Westfields Sports and two Bossley Park High School players part of the 16-man squad.
