The Brisbane Broncos have claimed a shock win over rivals North Queensland Cowboys on Friday night.
After being thrashed in round one, the Broncos bounced back in style to secure a thrilling 24-20 victory at Suncorp Stadium.
The round two NRL clash was played in front of more than 46,000 fans.
With two minutes remaining, it looked like Cowboys star Jonathon Thurston would conjure up a last-gap win for his team.
A beautiful ball led to team mate Scott Bolton charging towards the try line, before he ran straight into goalpost pad and lost possession.
The Cowboys had another crack at scoring, but Broncos captain Darius Boyd was able to swat the ball over the touch line to finalise the result.
