UPDATE| Teenager airlifted to Liverpool Hospital after serious car crash


Police are investigating a single car crash which happened over the weekend. It resulted with two teenagers suffering serious injuries, with one airlifted to Liverpool Hospital.

Emergency services were called to Silverdale Road, Wollondilly, just after 4.30pm on Saturday,  December 2, following reports a Subaru had veered off the road and hit a power pole.

The driver and his passenger, both 19, were trapped in the vehicle before being freed by Fire & Rescue NSW with assistance from Rural Fire Service.

Both teenagers were treated at the scene by paramedics before one man was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital and the second man, who suffered broken leg, pelvis and lacerations, was taken to the same hospital by ambulance.

South West Sydney Local Health District have confirmed both men remain in a stable condition.

Officers attached to St Mary’s Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation with assistance from Crash Investigation Unit into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
