Car lands beside railway lines in crash

After 2pm a woman was taken to Liverpool Hospital after her car crashed through a barrier, coming to rest beside railway tracks at Panania.

Emergency services were called to Carson Street after the sedan drove through the fence, continued down an embankment and hit a large tree.

It resulted in the tree falling onto the railway tracks.

The woman was assisted out of the vehicle.

She was reported to not have serious injuries but was taken to Liverpool Hospital for precautionary reasons. 

Inquiries are continuing into the incident.
