Woman caught allegedly drink-driving with three children

A woman driving with three children under 10 in her car was charged with high-range drink driving in Casula last Saturday night.

About 11.20pm police from Liverpool Local Area Command were driving on the Hume Highway when a Toyota Camry allegedly swerved out in front of their police car, causing them to brake harshly.

Three children in the car were 8, 9 and 9. There was also a male passenger. The officers stopped the Toyota for a random breath test and spoke with the driver, a woman, 39.

The driver undertook the breath test and it read as positive.  She was arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station where she returned a breath analysis reading of 0.182.

The woman was charged with high-range drink driving and issued with a licence suspension notice.

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday October 11.

Family and Community Services (FACS) were also notified about the incident.
