CHAMBER COLUMN | There are changes coming to benefit us all

In the first few months of this year, the board of the chamber of of commerce has been determining the strategic direction for the chamber to take for the rest of the year.

We had our first small meet-the-board drinks at Macquarie Hotel at the end of last month.

The event was very well attended and we trust that all those who attended walked away afterwards with a very positive vibe.

We’re now working hard on bringing an event to local businesses on Wednesday, March 22, at the Casula Powerhouse where we’ll have guest presenters Mayor Wendy Waller and chief executive of Liverpool Council Kiersten Fishburn.

The focus of the event will be about the changes under way in Liverpool and the way that local businesses will benefit from them.

We’ve sent out formal invitations to all of the local Members of Parliament, the Liverpool councillors, representatives of the media and the presidents of the surrounding business chambers.

We expect to have about 150 people coming along to hear what will be presented.

On another note, Liverpool council’s economic-development team has been working very closely with the chamber to ensure that all local businesses are supported and that they get real benefit from our activities.

We thank the economic-development team and look forward to working with them a lot more in the future.

The Liverpool Chamber works to promote the area as an attractive place to do business and to encourage investment in Liverpool for the benefit of our local businesses and residents.

We’ve been working hard on promoting Liverpool as the place to do business.

We trust that our efforts will really pay off for the benefit of all of us here in the region.

If you’d like to get involved in supporting the chamber in representing local businesses or if you’d like more information about our upcoming March event feel free to contact us by phone or email.

The best contact details for the chamber are below.

In the meantime, we wish your business, your families and you all the very best of success.
