Share Care – a not-for-profit organisation who provides temporary respite to families with a child or young person with a disability – has received $20,000 of federal funding to purchase a new mini bus.

The grant is part of the Federal Government's Stronger Communities Programme.

It's great we have been able to secure Federal Government funding so that Share Care can buy a new mini bus to help transport special needs children.

Hughes MP Craig Kelly said the money will be put to good use.

“It's great we have been able to secure Federal Government funding so that Share Care can buy a new mini bus to help transport the many special needs children in our local community,” Mr Kelly said.

“I'm so pleased to be able to support Share Care in this way given the fantastic job they do.”

Share Care, who have provided respite services in Liverpool, Fairfield and Bankstown for the last 26 years, are hosting a Family Outdoor Cinema Night on Saturday, May 21.

The fundraising event will be held at the Share Care Support Centre.
