Students from Unity Grammar College in Austral, were treated with a visit from Liverpool mayor Ned Mannoun.
Mr Mannoun visited the school to view the student’s projects that detailed the history of the Liverpool area over the past 200 years.
A school spokeswoman said the project was paart of the Year 9 syllabus which required the students to research a local community.
‘‘Being located in the Liverpool area it was only fitting that the theme for that unit of work at UGC would be Liverpool,’’ she said.
‘‘Councillor Mannoun also heard presentations from Year 9 students and shared his own insights into the history of the area and how that rich history has contributed to the vibrant community of modern day Liverpool and its surrounding suburbs.’’
