Cash and weapon seized from car stop at Kemps Creek

Police have seized cash and a prohibited weapon after stopping a car at Kemps Creek.

Officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf on Devonshire Road just before 1.30pm Saturday after it was seen allegedly driving in a dangerous manner.

Green Valley police spoke to the driver before conducting a search of the vehicle.

They located and seized a large sum of cash, along with a pair of knuckle dusters.

Further inquiries were conducted and the driver, a 31-year-old man, will be issued a court attendance notice for the following offences:

- Dealing with proceeds of crime;

- Goods in custody

- Possess prohibited weapon; and

- Traffic-related offences

The St Andrews man will appear in court at a date to be set.

Inquiries are continuing.
