SIBLINGS Tamara and Radovan Maric share a love for golf and are promising juniors at Liverpool Golf Club.

Tamara, 14, and Radovan, 12, of Green Valley, are members of the club's junior program run by club professionals Brent Dale and Rhett Mcivor.

Once a week the Westfields Sports High School students attend the club to receive professional lessons to improve their golfing skills.

Dale said the youngsters were developing well.

"Tamara and Radovan are very good prospects," he said.

"They hit the ball well and work hard on their techniques.

"And as brother and sister they both support and encourage one another with their golf."

Tamara said her father Zeljko got her involved in golf.

"I started playing when I was five.

"Radovan was also five when he started playing."

Tamara and Radovan are both tall — 178 centimetres and 180 centimetres respectively — which helps them drive the ball well from the tee.

Tamara can hit the ball with her driver 200 metres off the tee.

Radovan can strike it 220 metres with the driver.

Radovan said Dale and Mcivor had improved his game with their coaching.

"They both have improved my swing, it's more fluent now," Radovan said.

"Brent and Rhett have also worked on my putting."

Last year Radovan had a top 10 finish in a Sydney south-west junior tournament while Tamara won a junior girls' tournament in 2013.
